Goldendale Observatory State Park is a unique public educational facility located on a 2,100 foot elevation hilltop just north of Goldendale,Washington. Dedicated to year-round telescope viewing and science education, the Observatory has attracted hundreds of thousands of sky-watchers since its 1973 dedication and features one of the largest and most accessible public telescopes in the nation.
Telescopes for public viewing include the 24.5 inch Newtonain, a 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain, 14 inch GoTo Dobsonian, 6 inch Hydrogen-Alpha Solar Telescope, and a variety of other instruments.
